I hope someone mentions at my funeral that I was a woman dedicated to prayer. That’s how I want to be remembered. I believe prayer unleashes the power of God to do great and mighty things. I’m willing to admit I’m not big enough or powerful enough to solve the problems of life on my own; I need God’s partnership. I also believe that if I’m going to commit myself to His work, then I’d better plan on doing it His way and seeking His agenda rather than my own.
I also believe that any ministry is not a Lone Ranger deal. We need each other. Ministry is a team effort. I value my mentors, writing peers and prayer buddies. You all are important to the success of my writing ministry.
Will you join me? Will you be part of the team by praying for this ministry?
Each week I hope to post news about my current writing projects and other ministry involvement. Here’s just a couple of requests to get us going.
Vacation Bible School: Our church’s VBS program starts next week. My role is to staff and supply the staff “break room.” Pray that I and my hosts and hostesses can minister to the physical and spiritual needs of those working with the children this next week.
Grace on Parade: We’ve made a lot of changes to the Grace On Parade website, both seen and unseen. I have a grade point average of a B- when it comes to technology stuff. Please pray for God’s wisdom. Also, pray for the impact of this website, that it reach more people and that God uses it to encourage and disciple those who linger over its pages.
Ministry workers always find it encouraging to hear someone say, “I’m praying for you.” Let me know if you are praying for Grace on Parade and for my writing. Let a local ministry worker know you are praying for them too.
